Wrongful death
After a loss, you shouldn't carry the claim too
A family can bring a claim when someone dies because of another person's carelessness. We begin by listening, and we go at the pace your family sets.
Who may bring a claim, and for what, depends on the law where the loss happened and on your relationship to the person. We'll explain that plainly, and we'll tell you honestly if a case belongs with a firm that handles medical negligence.
Where these claims come from
A crash on the road
An unsafe building or property
A defective product
A dog attack

How we work with a family
No deadlines for your grief. A few for the claim.
We listen first
The first meeting is yours: tell us about the person, not only about what happened.
We explain the deadlines
Claims have filing deadlines, and some are short. We tell you which ones apply so none passes unnoticed.
We carry the paperwork
Records, reports, the insurers and the court, so your family's time goes to each other.
What families ask us
Who can bring a wrongful death claim?
Usually close family, such as a spouse, children or parents, and sometimes the person's estate. The rules vary by state, and we'll tell you who qualifies in your situation.
Do we have to decide quickly?
You don't have to decide anything at a first meeting. Filing deadlines do exist, so we'll tell you the date to keep in mind and leave the rest to you.
Can we meet at home?
Yes. We can come to your home, meet by video or talk by phone, in English or Spanish.
When you are ready, we are here
Call or write, and a lawyer, not a call center, will answer.
